WELLNESS WEDNESDAY – Are you up for a healthy challenge?

Hey Chicks,

Happy Wednesday – I can’t believe we are almost done our August (and summer!) bootcamps!  Good news is that we still stay outdoors for the month of September and the weather is supposed to be nice 🙂

With September being back to school, alot of my chicks are excited to getting themselves and their families into a healthy routine. One thing that I get asked alot is about how to lose weight.  Well chicks, you can work out until the cows come home but unless you clean up your diet and nutrition, you will get stronger but you aren’t going to see the numbers in weight loss. That said, it doesn’t have to be hard!  the easiest way to start making healthy changes is to start to make your own food. Did you know that bringing your own lunch can save you 300 cals/day – that is 1500/cals saved per week! When was the last time you made or brought lunch to work?

So let’s get old school and start to brown bag (well, actually get a cute enviro friendly, reusable baG) it again.  The Food Network Healthy Eats Blog is running an awesome challenge this month called the 30 day Brown Bag Challenge Basically, you have to bring your lunch to work everyday for 1 month. I love this idea and think we should all do this together. Their blog will be packed with healthy lunch ideas for you and your family so make sure to book mark it.
