FC – What made you decide to join FIT CHICKS bootcamp?


Last July, a friend of mine saw an ad for FIT CHICKS on the internet and asked me to sign up with her.  I was looking for something to spice up my work-outs since they had become a little routine and I wasn’t getting the results I wanted, so I agreed…and have kept signing up since.

FC – How did FIT CHICKS help you in reaching your goals?

Violet, my Chick Sergeant, is awesome at providing different intensity levels for all of the exercises that we do, so our work-outs have been able to grow with me and my fitness levels over the year.  She and the other chicks I work out with are also incredibly motivating and supportive.  I love that you always know who to expect and that we actually talk and get to know each other–unlike going to the gym where people randomly show up and don’t really interact with one another when they’re there.  I feel like I need to show up for FIT CHICKS because Violet and the other chicks are expecting me.  I really like that sense of accountability.  It’s too easy for me to make up excuses to skip the 5:00 step class at the gym, for example, because I feel that nobody will know if I make it or not and I certainly won’t be missed.  I also love the fact that our classes are different every time and do not require any sort of co-ordination or keeping in time to the beat of the music playing as we work out.

FC – What is your fave FIT CHICKS workout? Which exercises do you love to hate?

My favourite work-outs are the ones that leave me feeling like a hot mess at the end.  These usually include LOTS of cardio and sweat and little breaks in between.  I’ve grown to love burpees, plank jumps, and most of the other activities that we do…though, I’m still working on the hill runs.  Perhaps, I’ll love them one day, but for right now, I just hate them!  They kick my butt every time.

FC – What have your results been like since joining bootcamp?

Since joining FIT CHICKS, I’ve actually gained about 5 lbs (or more depending on when I weigh myself!), but I’m okay with that because I’ve lost over 7 inches, lots of fat, and have gone down 3 pant sizes.  The best part is that I’m way stronger and much more fit than I was when I first started.  My body is still far from perfect and I’ve yet to reach all of my fitness goals–so my FIT CHICKS journey continues but I do love that I can do push ups up on my toes now and can hold a plank for hours (well, not really, but you know what I mean).  These were things that I would have never even dreamed of doing when I first started and keep me motivated to continue.

FC – Why would you recommend FIT CHICKS bootcamp to a girlfriend?

I highly recommend FIT CHICKS to anybody that is looking for a personal fitness challenge and the results that the challenge will bring.  It is so rewarding to see your body morph into a more healthy and fit version of yourself.  I also encourage current chicks to stick with it and to continue to challenge yourself by using heavier weights, etc.  It took about 3 months for me to see and feel any real results, which was a bit frustrating at first but once I started to feel how strong I was becoming, there was no turning back!  I heart FIT CHICKS!!!!
