What do get when you mix some fierce chicks, a ton of fabulousness and a pair of roller skates?  Toronto’s Roller Derby Team Chicks Ahoy!

As soon as we heard the name, we knew we had to partner up with these fierce femmes!  Our Head Chick, Amanda, has had a blast giving some tough love as their off skates trainer – combining tons of strength, stability and high intensity cardio interval training to get these chicks prime for their next game.  And all their hard work has paid off! On Sat. oCT 23rd, Chicks Ahoy! took down the Death Track Dolls in the semi final match and won 119-83– WOOT WOOT!

Now, they are back to The Annex bootcamp to continue training for their next bout – THE FINALS- on Nov 13th against the Gore Gore Dolls.  If you wanna check it out with us, please email amanda@fitchicks.ca for ticket info or check out their website as we need to spread the FIT CHICK luv and support in full force (plus, if you thought “Whip It” with Drew Barrymore was cool, you will be blown away seeing these chicks live!)
