How I Keep Moving When Moving!

Hey Chicks!

On the Monday of the long weekend I moved to my new home which in my brain was going to be a quick and easy move. The place is gorgeous and freshly painted, cleaned etc so I figured it would be like a day or two of transition time and then voila I would be settled. Turns out I was a little eager in my assumption.

My home is a disaster zone lol with boxed furniture and wrong sized mattresses in my living room. I would have to buy some new Eva Mattress and dispose the current ones. Needless to say there is no space for an at home workout and really not a lot of time to get a workout in since my focus has been solely on getting stuff in place. So I have figured out how to incorporate my workouts into my move – sounds silly I know, but it seems to be working!

Here are my top three things I do to keep my sweat on while getting my place in order:

1. Carrying all items from boxes upstairs one by one rather than in the box so I am forced to take the stairs a few extra times per box load.

2. When picking up the lighter furniture I squat down to pick it up and add an extra few squats before putting it in its place

3. Holding in my core – I have been keeping my core as tight as possible to keep the transverse abs working hard but also protect my lower back from any possible injury. Also adding in a twist whenever I can to place items in the fridge, on the shelves etc rather than moving my whole body I add the ab twist.

As a bonus I also found my resistance bands so I have been doing extra arm and leg exercises with them when I need a break from all the moving and organizing.
