Creating a Plan of Attack for Winter Workouts

Let’s face it – winter in Canada can be long – especially if you aren’t into winter sports. So it’s crucial that you have a plan of attack going into winter to make sure you are getting in 20-30 minutes a day of physical activity. This will improve your mood, fitness, and make sure you don’t wake up in Spring with more fat than you’d like!

Often peeps ask me about equipment, what I use outside of class to keep me on track to reaching my own personal fitness goals. Choosing the better smart home gym could help you workout from home.

Here are our top 4 ways for getting in those winter workouts at home without having to venture out in the cold!

1. Workout Videos

These are one of the best tools to have in your fitness library. Use workout DVDs, stream free videos on you tube or subscribe to a fitness video streaming service at https://frmation.com/. 2. Workout Apps

These are great for chicks who know how to workout, but just want a plan. 3. Invest in Equipment

If you are in it for the long haul (which we hope you are!)and have the space, then investing in some equipment you love great option to have some weights and a piece of cardio equipment like a treadmill or elliptical trainer. Often you can buy second hand or pay in installments to make it easier on the wallet. You can also get a great workout with more inexpensive equipment like bands, a bench, a kettlebell or a TRX (there are too many to list here!)

4. Build Your Own Workouts

If you don’t like someone always telling you what to do, then creating your own workouts is a fantastic option. Or if you want a simple everyday routine, you can try this one and done workout program. We suggest to start out do a simple circuit like 1 minute of cardio alternated with 1 minute of strength for 10-20 minutes.
