March Chick of the Month

Hey Chicks!!

It’s that time of the month – to celebrate the success of one of our fab Chicks! This month’s Chick of the Month is the fabulous Natasha Ervin. Natasha has been taking GI Jane Bootcamp for the past 9 months and has achieved amazing results!

FCHow long have you been attending GI Jane Bootcamp?

NE – I started GI Jane Bootcamp in June 2009.

FCWhat have your results been like? What were your top 3 goals for
joining this program?

NE – My results have been noticeably fantastic!!! My clothes fit better, my confidence has increased, and slowly but surely, I am shedding that muffin top. I used to work out at a gym, and in the years and years of sweating it out in the exercises classes, indoors, waiting in line for cardio machines, I have never seen the results that I’ve been able to achieve in 7 short months of G.I. Jane Bootcamp (which I secretly refer to as “booty camp”). I have lost 15 lbs. and 10″ which have mostly come off of my thighs, waist and booty!!

My top 3 goals were to:

1. Fit back into my favourite little black dress and skinny jeans
2. Fit regular exercise into my busy schedule
3. Increase my strength and endurance

FCWhat is your favourite exercise?

NE – I have a few favourite exercises…the first is the sissy squat (good practice for wearing stilettos) with a back row (I’m all about multi-tasking) and the second one (I don’t know what it’s called) is the ab exercise where you lean back, lift your feet off the floor and rotate from side to side with your weights. My third fave exercise for good luck would be the plank – which I can now successfully hold for over a minute!!! Back in June, I was lucky if I could do it for 20 seconds:)

FCDid you find the GI Jane Bootcamp class to be inviting and accessible?

NE – The classes are totally welcoming and accessible! I’ve been lucky to have both Amandas, Jamie and Laura as Chick Sergeants and each one has been motivating, encouraging and can push each chick to their personal limits. I love that every single class has been different, and no matter how hard it seems sometimes…it’s only an hour!!! And that hour flies by every time and I leave feeling positive and energized and know that the couch time that evening is well deserved!

FCWhat is your definition of a FIT CHICK?

NE – A FIT CHICK is someone who shows up every class and tries their best. Doesn’t matter how many jacks or dips you do in one minute…even if it’s only one, nor how fast you run. It’s one more jack or dip that Chick wasn’t doing before!
