Challenge Day 5

Hey Chicks!!

I just enjoyed a delish dinner, and halfway through I realized I was supposed to take a pic of it for the blog! By that time it didn’t look like it would make an appetizing picture though!

I went out for lunch today with my boyfriend. I did have one cheat – a glass of red wine – but as far as treats go it’s a good choice amongst plenty of bad things full of sugar and fake foods. I ordered a cobb salad without cheese and with olive oil and balsamic on the side. It was super yum and full of great toppings like avocado, eggs and turkey breast. (looks a lot like the one in the pic, but not exactly…lol) I was totally satisfied after that!

Todays eats were less than the norm:

Brekkie – cup of tea (i know, i know, i am not supposed to have caffeine!) I slept in and it was a busy morning getting the little munchkins ready for daycare, and it was only going to be 2 hours until I went out for lunch, so I didn’t eat.

Lunch – cobb salad, glass o’ vino

Post Workout Shake – protein powder, coconut milk, spinach, mixed greens, cocoa, stevia (sounds weird but it was yum!)

Dinner – salad greens topped with stirfried mushrooms, peppers, zucchini, shallots and flank steak. Drizzled with balsamic vinegar and a little bit of goat’s cheese

I also ate a few bites of the girls’ scrambled eggs and some chicken broth.

I was a proud momma yesterday when I asked my girls’ what they wanted for supper, and Jayme replied “fish and broccoli!” they ate all I made them and 3 helpings of broccoli! My healthy eating habits are definitely rubbing off on them 🙂
