(gluten free, high protein)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hey Chick,<\/p>\n<p>This past weekend was <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fitchicks.ca\/retreats\">our semi annual FIT CHICKS Retreat at Horseshoe Resort<\/a> and OMG did we have a blast!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-7794 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/www.fitchicks.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/Photo-2015-11-22-8-40-05-AM-1-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"Photo 2015-11-22, 8 40 05 AM (1)\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.fitchicks.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/Photo-2015-11-22-8-40-05-AM-1-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.fitchicks.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/Photo-2015-11-22-8-40-05-AM-1-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.fitchicks.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/Photo-2015-11-22-8-40-05-AM-1-1024x1024.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.fitchicks.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/Photo-2015-11-22-8-40-05-AM-1.jpg 2448w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>From zumba to archery to boot camp to\u00a0an 80&#8217;s party (including trivia and ALF even made an appearance:),\u00a0 these chicks worked AND played hard all weekend.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-7799\" src=\"http:\/\/www.fitchicks.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/Photo-2015-11-21-4-42-17-PM-e1464894494251.jpg\" alt=\"Photo 2015-11-21, 4 42 17 PM\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-7797 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/www.fitchicks.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/Photo-2015-11-21-9-21-26-PM-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"Photo 2015-11-21, 9 21 26 PM\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.fitchicks.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/Photo-2015-11-21-9-21-26-PM-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.fitchicks.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/Photo-2015-11-21-9-21-26-PM-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.fitchicks.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/Photo-2015-11-21-9-21-26-PM-1024x1024.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.fitchicks.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/Photo-2015-11-21-9-21-26-PM.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>With all this sweating, we made sure to feed them some yummy treats in between meals and this was when <strong>we whipped up these little balls of snack time joy that we have name &#8220;The Easiest Protein Balls Ever!&#8221;.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-7795 size-medium\" src=\"http:\/\/www.fitchicks.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/Photo-2015-11-21-4-59-10-PM-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"Photo 2015-11-21, 4 59 10 PM\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.fitchicks.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/Photo-2015-11-21-4-59-10-PM-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.fitchicks.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/Photo-2015-11-21-4-59-10-PM-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.fitchicks.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/Photo-2015-11-21-4-59-10-PM.jpg 3264w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>These not only work great for a pre \/ post protein snack<\/strong> BUT are awesome for an holiday parties as you won&#8217;t know the difference \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>Happy Snacking!<\/p>\n<p>Laura<\/p>\n<h3>CHICK FEED:\u00a0 The EASIEST protein balls ever!<\/h3>\n<h3>INGREDIENTS<\/h3>\n<p>Makes approx. 8-20 balls (depending on size rolled)<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1\/2 cup all natural peanut butter<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 cup of peanut butter flavoured protein powder (vanilla or chocolate works too!)<\/li>\n<li>1\/3 cup of water<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 cup of quinoa puffs or brown rice crispies<\/li>\n<li>1 small 80% organic dark chocolate bar of choice (I used Green &amp; Black)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>DIRECTIONS<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Fill a pot with water and bring to a boil.<\/li>\n<li>While water is boiling, add protein powder to a bowl and mix in 2 tablespoons of water.\u00a0 Stir and check consistency.\u00a0 Continue to add if the mixture is too thick.\u00a0 You want to reach a soft paste like consistency<\/li>\n<li>Once protein powder is softened, pour in all natural peanut butter and quinoa puffs \/ rice crisps and stir until combined.\u00a0 Form into balls and place on parchment lined baking sheet.<\/li>\n<li>Place a glass bowl in the pot of boil water to form a double boiler to melt chocolate.<\/li>\n<li>Break chocolate into pieces and place in bowl.\u00a0 Continually stir until melted.<\/li>\n<li>Dip balls into melted chocolate and return to parchment paper to cool.\u00a0 Place in freezer for 30 min or fridge for 1- 2 hours and serve!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3>CHICK TIPS:<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Don&#8217;t like peanut butter?
