I&#8217;m happier and more active than I&#8217;ve ever been.<\/p>\n<h3>Livin la Vida FIT CHICK is based on 4 healthy principles. How do you incorporate them into your everyday life?<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Principle 1 \u2013 Fitness: Move Everyday\u2026makes it a conscious choice!<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong>I realized that the 4 principles idea is working for me so I started doing constant research on clean eating and fitness.<\/strong> I have been with FIT CHICKS for a year.\u00a0 I now do<strong> boot camp twice a week and I have at least one personal session<\/strong> with my Chick Sergeant Steph.<strong> I also do yoga<\/strong> and try to incorporate other work outs<strong> into my every day routine. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For example<strong> I take stairs up to the 22nd floor where I live at least once a day.<\/strong> I also noted that <strong>working out is only one part of the formula and nutrition plays an equal role <\/strong>in leading a healthy lifestyle.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Principle 2 \u2013 Nutrition: Eat real, whole foods made with love.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>I started preparing my own meals every day so that I have no excuse to eat junk food.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Principle 3 \u2013 Wellness: Give yourself love.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Making time for me and my workouts.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Principle 4 \u2013 Pay it forward: Spread the healthy love to those around you. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Leading by example!<\/strong><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_5036\" style=\"width: 650px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.fitchicks.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/FITCHICKS-10K-Run.jpg\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-5036\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-large wp-image-5036\" title=\"FITCHICKS 10K Run\" src=\"http:\/\/www.fitchicks.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/FITCHICKS-10K-Run-1024x1024.jpg\" alt=\"fit chicks 5k run fierce\" width=\"640\" height=\"640\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.fitchicks.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/FITCHICKS-10K-Run-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.fitchicks.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/FITCHICKS-10K-Run-300x300.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.fitchicks.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/FITCHICKS-10K-Run-1024x1024.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.fitchicks.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/FITCHICKS-10K-Run.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-5036\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">TEAM FIT CHICKS: Lina and the fab Diane at CIBC Run for the Cure<\/p><\/div>\n<h3>How has FIT CHICKS help keep you on track with the 4 healthy principles?<\/h3>\n<p><strong>I get such a great support form FIT CHICKS on my way to live healthy and take care of my body!<\/strong> First of all, working out in a team is awesome, we push each other to finish strong.<\/p>\n<p><strong>There are some things I wouldn&#8217;t want to try on my own but I did it as a part of a team. <\/strong>For example, last year I did<a title=\"WELLNESS WEDNESDAY \u2013 Total raised was $3925 for Breast Cancer Research\" href=\"http:\/\/www.fitchicks.ca\/blog\/2012\/10\/wellness-wednesday-total-raised-was-3925-for-breast-cancer-research\/\"> 5K Run for the Cure with the FIT CHICKS team<\/a> and it was amazing! <strong>My Chick Sergeant Steph was running with me <\/strong>and she inspired and motivated me to finish it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>This year Steph convinced me to run the 10K run. <\/strong>Also I absolutely <a title=\"CHICK FEED:  3 Ingrediant Healthy Chocolate Sauce Recipe (gluten free, dairy free, vegan, paleo friendly)\" href=\"http:\/\/www.fitchicks.ca\/blog\/2013\/05\/chick-feed-3-ingrediant-chocolate-sauce-recipe-gluten-free-dairy-free-vegan-paleo-friendly\/\">love all the recipes FIT CHICKS<\/a> share with us through newsletter and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/fitchicksbootcamp\">Facebook.<\/a> It does help to stay motivated.<\/p>\n<h3>What is your fave post workout snack or healthy eats that you make with love?<\/h3>\n<p>I find it can be tough to sit down for salad when you are constantly on the go that is why I always try to drink my vegetables.<strong> I have <a title=\"Wellness Wednesday:  Our favorite healthy \u201cmust have\u201d in 2013\" href=\"http:\/\/www.fitchicks.ca\/blog\/2013\/01\/wellness-wednesday-our-favorite-healthy-must-have-in-2013\/\">a green smoothie recipe<\/a> that helps me to stay energized.<\/strong> Have I mentioned it tastes delicious as well? Her energy and enthusiasm are contagious. She has become a seriously fierce FIT CHICK! Lina has gone from only a few push ups to doing variations from her toes! She now uses 3 lbs ankle weights and her hand weights!
