Here&#8217;s a fall twist on a smoothie &#8211; just in time for Thanksgiving. Canned pumpkin can be readily found at most grocery stores, and it&#8217;s pretty cheap. It is super high in fibre and nutrients and a great addition to your diet. \u00a0Try this one out and let us know what you think &#8211; as well as your own smoothie ideas!<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_1281\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/fitchicks.ca.s74819.gridserver.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/pumpkin-pie.jpg\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-1281\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-1281\" src=\"http:\/\/www.fitchicks.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/09\/pumpkin-pie-300x224.jpg\" alt=\"Drinking your pumpkin pie saves a ton of fat and calories!\" width=\"300\" height=\"224\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-1281\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Drinking your pumpkin pie saves a ton of fat and calories!<\/p><\/div>\n<p><strong>Pumpkin Pie Smoothie<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 cup canned pumpkin<\/li>\n<li>2 cups unsweetened vanilla almond milk<\/li>\n<li>2 large handfuls of spinach<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 tsp cinnamon, 1\/4 tsp ginger, 1\/4 tsp allspice<\/li>\n<li>a few dates (optional, but they add some more sweetness)<\/li>\n<li>a few ice cubes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Blend all ingredients in a high speed blender and enjoy!<\/p>\n<p>Calories &#8211; 177, 7 grams fat, 6 grams protein, <strong>10 grams fibre!!!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you want to up the protein, add a scoop of vanilla protein powder.
