We love fitness goals and we love giving back! On Sunday Sept 30th, Team FIT CHICKS geared up for our 3rd year in a row 5km run/walk in the CIBC Run for the Cure in Toronto. We had an amazing day of fitness, support and together raised $3925 in the fight against cancer.

On Sat May 26th, FIT CHICKS headed to the York Region to help raise funds and awareness for The York Region Walk for Muscular Dystrophy! We put the crowd through the paces by leading the warm up and held a fun, fierce bootcamp challenge to kick off the event.

On Sunday, April 29th, the FIT CHICKS headed to Steam Whistle Brewing company in Toronto to lead a fab fierce warm up and the 10km training walk presented by Shopper’s Drug Mart to help get chicks prepared for The Weekend to End Women’s Cancers in Sept 2012. It was an amazing day with over 400 chicks coming out to support this amazing cause and get a great workout at the same time!
On Dec 14th or 15th, we ran a fabulous food drive at our FIT CHICKS Bootcamps to help our local communities and give our chicks a chance to win a FREE 4 WEEK Bootcamp!
Our chicks came out in full force and brought in a total of 357 non perishable food items to help feed the bellies of families in need! For each item each item they brought to class, they received a “ballot” to win a free 4 week bootcamp – our gift back to you for supporting this fab cause!

We love fitness goals and we love giving back! On Sunday Oct 2nd, Team FIT CHICKS geared up to run in the 2011 CIBC Run for the Cure in Toronto for the second year in a row. This 5km run / walk is not only an amazing way to help in the fight against cancer (we raised $2680!) but was an awesome fitness goal that we got to achieve together.

July 2011Team FIT CHICKS participated in the OXFAM Canada Trailwalkers 100KM hike from Barrie to Orillia for the second year to help to support the fight for chicks rights and to help prevent poverty in developing countries around the globe.
What were the results? Team FIT CHICKS raised $3120 for Oxfam Canada, completed the 100km race in 28h02min and came in 18th place out of 86 teams…woot woot! Thank you to everyone who came out to our charity FIT CHICKS Bootcamp classes to show their support with with all proceeds going to support team FIT CHICKS in the 2011 OXFAM Canada Trailwalker efforts.
WHAT IS THE OXFAM TRAILWALKER?
Oxfam Trailwalker is the world’s greatest and toughest team challenge. Completing the 100km journey on foot in 48 hours or less, as a team of 4 is a physical and mental challenge! Each team must start together, stick together and finish together. The event is not just physically demanding, but it is also a fundraising challenge in support of Oxfam’s work to end poverty and injustice toward women around the world. The Oxfam Trailwalker will be held in Barrie, Ontario on July 22 – 24, 2011.
Head Chicks Laura and Amanda (joined by Chief Chick Sergeant, Jackie and Chick Services Specialist, Stephanie!) walked 100km in 28.5 hrs in order to raise funds and awareness for OXFAM Canada’s fight against global poverty and human rights!
FIT CHICKS ran Charity Classes in order to raise funds for the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation. On Sunday Oct 3rd, it was a sea of pink and yellow as Team FIT CHICKS geared up to run/walk 5km in the 2010 CIBC Run for the Cure in Toronto. Our team raised a whopping $3546 in the fight against cancer – woot woot!
We are super excited that Chick Sergeant Jaz was on the cover of the Ottawa Metro on August 19th! (Check out the full pic on page 4) Jaz was sweatin’ up a storm on Parliament Hill, leading a bunch of Chicks through a fab hour long workout with all proceeds going to the CIBC Run for the Cure!
