(Check out this delicious <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fitchicks.ca\/blog\/2012\/10\/wellness-wednesday-pumpkin-pie-power-smoothie-recipe-dairy-free-gluten-free-paleo-friendly-vegan\/\">Pumpkin Pie Power Smoothie Recipe<\/a>).<\/strong> Fall is upon us chicks, and that means that classes have moved indoors\u00a0(yay- no more bugs!).\u00a0Just as exciting is the launch of our new <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fitchicks.ca\/programs\/fitness-nutriton-expert\">Fitness &amp; Nutrition Expert Program<\/a> &#8211; with a 200hr certification you can take your health, knowledge, career confidence and skills to the next level!<\/p>\n<p>Now to\u00a0celebrate the start of Fall\u00a0we want to introduce the fab, fierce Eve from the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fitchicks.ca\/locations\/toronto-bootcamp\">Toronto East Danforth Bootcamp<\/a>. <strong>Not only has Eve lost 5lbs and 8-10 inches but she is\u00a0 stronger than ever!\u00a0\u00a0After seeing how the awesome\u00a0camaraderie and support\u00a0in class helped push her to reach her potential, <\/strong>she is now\u00a0motivating others to live a healthy lifestyle (we like to call it spreading the healthy love) and we could not be more proud of her. \u00a0We got a chance to catch up with Eve to tell us about her fitness and healthy journey.<\/p>\n<h3>1. What made you decide to join FIT CHICKS?<\/h3>\n<p><em>I was swimming frequently but I wanted to intensify my workouts for better results. And I wanted impact for bone-building. I didn&#8217;t know much about FIT CHICKS but the comradery looked fun and I decided to take a chance. <\/em><\/p>\n<h3>2. What is the biggest change you have seen in your life since joining FIT CHICKS? How has fitness and nutrition changed your life for the better?<\/h3>\n<p><em>The biggest change is that I feel much stronger! I have more stamina doing the most ordinary things &#8211; like just standing around, I bound up the stairs using the right muscles now, and I think my posture is improving, more so after the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.stealthbelt.com\/ostomy-belt\">supportive stoma belt<\/a> I started wearing and the <a href=\"https:\/\/fitteam.com\/\">plant-based protein powder<\/a> I started ingesting. I clearly didn&#8217;t have muscles in my legs before FIT CHICKS, and I&#8217;m excited to see if my skiing improves because of the new strength. Frankly, I don&#8217;t know really how I moved by body around this world before.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>In terms\u00a0of\u00a0physical change, I have lost 5 lbs, around 8-10 inches in various parts, and overall a more toned appearance. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>I\u2019m most proud\u00a0of\u00a0my progress doing push ups because I couldn\u2019t do a single one when I started. I don\u2019t go as far down to\u00a0the\u00a0ground as I should, and that is my current challenge, but they are all on my toes now and it feels great! My fit test improved:<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>From 7 push ups on my toes and 10 on my knees in one minute, I went to 30 on my toes. <\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>From 20 burpees in one minute I went to 30.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>From 29 squats in one minute I went to 45.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>3. What tools do you use to keep you on a healthy track outside\u00a0of\u00a0class?<\/h3>\n<p><em>I do try to get in a\u00a0 swim here and there. And, for\u00a0the\u00a0very first time, I have started to work out in my hotel room when I travel, which is pretty often.<\/em><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #1f497d; font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;\">4. <\/span>If you could give one piece\u00a0of\u00a0positive advice to a\u00a0chick\u00a0just starting on her fitness journey, what would it be?<\/h3>\n<p><em>It took two\u00a0months\u00a0to really feel decent doing\u00a0the\u00a0workouts and not be in pain (my legs) for days afterwards.\u00a0 But after that point\u00a0the\u00a0pain disappeared thanks to the the local <a href=\"https:\/\/www.columbia.palmercare.com\/symptoms\/upper-back-pain\">business Palmercare Chiropractic Columbia<\/a> doctors, I was motivated to do\u00a0the\u00a0exercises more effectively, and it was much easier to feel motivated to come to class. After four\u00a0months\u00a0I could really see my shape change and even people I don\u2019t know very well started to notice\u00a0the\u00a0difference. My advice? Leave your phone behind, disconnect from your stuff, and focus on yourself for those mere two hours a week.\u00a0\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Getting sore muscles a day or two after an intensive workout or rigorous exercise is normal, especially if you are increasing your exercise intensity or starting on a new sport or exercise. The delayed muscle aches and muscle pain are caused by tiny injuries in the muscle fibre and connective tissue. If pain is to much, consider the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/digidrs.com\/pennsylvania-medical-marijuana-doctors\/\">marijuana doctors in Pennsylvania.<\/a>\u00a0The THC in marijuana may help\u00a0<b>to temporarily relieve pain<\/b>\u00a0by interacting with the body&#8217;s natural cannabinoid receptors and reducing pain signaling and pain perception. Chronic pain stemming from systemic inflammation, such as with rheumatoid arthritis, may benefit from marijuana&#8217;s anti-inflammatory effects as well.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>5. Do you have a healthy trick or tip that you use that you could share?<\/h3>\n<p><em>Believe it or not but I motivate myself by motivating others in\u00a0the\u00a0class. I hope they don\u2019t mind that I sometimes channel our Sergeant \ud83d\ude42<\/em><\/p>\n<h3>6. What is your fave FIT\u00a0CHICKS\u00a0Signature workouts &amp; why?<\/h3>\n<p><em>I don\u2019t have a favorite \u2013\u00a0the\u00a0variety is so key to\u00a0the\u00a0success\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0program. I do like\u00a0the\u00a0group competitions because they distract you from\u00a0the ridiculous intensity\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0workout and can intensify it even more when\u00a0the\u00a0competitive juices are rolling.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Awesome job chick!
