What made you decide to join FIT CHICKS?<\/h3>\n<p>I needed to deal with my menopause symptoms!<\/p>\n<h3>2.\u00a0\u00a0What were your reasons (or goals) when signing up for bootcamp? What have your results been like since joining bootcamp?<\/h3>\n<p>I wanted to tone my arms and lose a little fat around my waist. I also needed more energy to keep up with my 150 students I teach in one day. I really feel much more energetic. I sleep much better without the help of any meds.<\/p>\n<h3>3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 What is your fave FIT CHICKS workout? Which exercises do you love to hate?<\/h3>\n<p><a title=\"FITNESS FRIDAY \u2013 We heart Tabatas!\" href=\"http:\/\/www.fitchicks.ca\/blog\/2012\/08\/fitness-friday-we-heart-tabatas\/\">My all time favourite is Tabatas<\/a>. Lots of change and variety keeps me motivated!<\/p>\n<h3>4.\u00a0\u00a0Physically and\/or emotionally, what has been the biggest change that you have noticed in yourself?<\/h3>\n<p>I am really self conscious of my arms in the summer therefore push ups are my favourite exercise to keep my arms toned. When I started fit chicks in September 2011 I could only do one push up, now I can do 20. I can do more than my husband (just a little competitive:).  I have maintained my waist size, thanks to sit ups. I try to do a few every night while watching television or while my porridge is cooking. They are much easier to do now. I love the way my Chick Sergeant Jenny varies the approaches to sit ups.<\/p>\n<p>I also sleep much better and I have more energy after my workouts. I can keep up with my students and I often can out dance them or show them exercises that they are quite challenged in:)<\/p>\n<h3>5.\u00a0In terms of nutrition, what changes did you make? What helped you keep on track?<\/h3>\n<p>I drink more water during the day now. Keeping hydrated, simply with water, has helped me stay away from junk food at the 3:00pm low. A small handful of nuts keeps me going till dinner.<\/p>\n<h3>6.\u00a0What would be your advice to a chick looking to change her health but is too scared? Why would you recommend FIT CHICKS bootcamp to a girlfriend?<\/h3>\n<p>I really like the social aspect. I am not motivated on my own but if I know that I have a scheduled class twice a week with a great instructor like Jenny, that keeps me coming back.<\/p>\n<h3>7.\u00a0How do you keep yourself on track to reaching your weight loss and fitness goals?<\/h3>\n<p>I have a pair of jeans from when I was in my 20&#8217;s, if I can zip them up all is good. I weigh myself once a week to make sure I&#8217;m on track with my weight. I lost about 8 pounds in my first 5 months and now I am at my target weight of 133 pounds. I indulge a little on the weekends but I can get back on track during the work week, by attending religiously my fit chick classes and walking the dog for one hour a day.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Joanne, we are beyond proud of you and your hard work<\/strong>\u2026it  is so inspiring to all chicks that starting (or already started!)  living la vida FIT CHICK that they can make healthy changes too.
