Can you walk 10k steps \/ day?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hey Chicks,<\/p>\n<p>I can&#8217;t believe we starting another session of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fitchicks.ca\/programs\/bootcamp\">bootcamps<\/a> this week (time flies when having fun!) and also our first round shakin&#8217; our tail feather with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fitchicks.ca\/programs\/zumba\">Zumba(r) by FIT CHICKS<\/a> at our <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fitchicks.ca\/locations\">Toronto King &amp; Bathurst and Don Mills locations<\/a> &#8211; woot woot!\u00a0 Not only that but<strong> I am gearing up to <a title=\"Wellness Wednesday \u2013 Countdown to wearing a bathing suit (insert gulp!)\" href=\"http:\/\/www.fitchicks.ca\/blog\/2012\/03\/wellness-wednesday-countdown-to-wearing-a-bathing-suit-insert-gulp\/\">head back to Mexico <\/a>(yes you read correctly, I am going back!) on Saturday for another long standing bestie of 22 years&#8217; wedding&#8230;the fabulous Jenn!<\/strong><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_3798\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.fitchicks.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/Omron_Closed.jpg\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3798\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-3798\" title=\"Omron_Closed\" src=\"http:\/\/www.fitchicks.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/Omron_Closed-300x300.jpg\" alt=\"FIT CHICKS Pedometer\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.fitchicks.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/Omron_Closed-150x150.jpg 150w, http:\/\/www.fitchicks.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/Omron_Closed-300x300.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.fitchicks.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/Omron_Closed.jpg 315w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-3798\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">My Favorite Peddy!<\/p><\/div>\n<p>Now that my <a title=\"WELLNESS WEDNESDAY \u2013 A Mexican medical mystery solved!\" href=\"http:\/\/www.fitchicks.ca\/blog\/2012\/04\/wellness-wednesday-a-mexican-medical-mystery-solved\/\">Mexican Beer Dermitis<\/a> is healing and my post holiday bloat has gone down, I am excited for <a title=\"FITNESS FRIDAY \u2013 How to survive an All Inclusive Holiday..Fit Chick Style!\" href=\"http:\/\/www.fitchicks.ca\/blog\/2012\/02\/fitness-friday-how-to-survive-an-all-inclusive-holiday-fit-chick-style\/\">another week of fun in the sun<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0 <strong>Last time, I forgot a staple to my holiday planning&#8230;<a href=\"http:\/\/store.fitchicks.ca\/product\/fit-chicks-pedometers\">my pedometer<\/a>!\u00a0 Why is it so important?<\/strong> Because it keeps me active, burning calories and allows me to balance in an extra margarita (or 2!:) if I really get to steppin&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p><strong>My goal is to always get in 10 000 steps \/ day which is equivalent to about 5 miles and 500 calories burned<\/strong>.\u00a0 On site seeing days, I can log in approx 25 000 steps if I am really on the go.\u00a0 I love it because it helps remind me to get moving and makes sure I am real with myself about my activity.\u00a0 Now how it will look clipped to my bikini is a whole other story \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>Now if you don&#8217;t think you could walk 10000 steps \/ day, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fitchicks.ca\/challenges\/28-day-pedometer-challenge\">it is a great challenge<\/a> for yourself and will prove for great fitness and weight loss results too (you will be addicted to your peddy after &#8211;
