{"id":3676,"date":"2012-02-10T12:47:18","date_gmt":"2012-02-10T20:47:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.fitchicks.ca\/blog\/?p=3676"},"modified":"2012-02-10T12:47:18","modified_gmt":"2012-02-10T20:47:18","slug":"fitness-friday-getting-real-about-getting-results","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.fitchicks.ca\/blog\/2012\/02\/fitness-friday-getting-real-about-getting-results\/","title":{"rendered":"FITNESS FRIDAY: Getting real about getting results!"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Hey Chicks!<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: small;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: small;\">Have you ever thought to yourself, <strong>\u201cI work so hard in class and am still not seeing the results I want, what gives?\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><strong><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: small;\">If so then this blog post is for you<span style=\"font-family: Wingdings;\">J<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-size: small;\">First of all, I need all you chicks out there who are asking the same question to<strong> start off by being honest with yourself<\/strong> and answer these questions below:<\/span><\/div>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small;\">\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><\/span><\/p>\n<h3>1. Are you working out to your 9 out of 10 at every bootcamp class?<\/h3>\n<p>Like I am talking<strong> breathing out of your mouth and pushing past that \u201cugly zone\u201d<\/strong> each and every time.<\/p>\n<p>With <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fitchicks.ca\/programs\/boot-camp\">our High Intensity Interval Training Bootcamp classes<\/a> it is proven that <strong>you will burn up to 5 x more calories than a traditional fitness class<\/strong> but you gotta work! That is the thing with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sparkpeople.com\/resource\/fitness_articles.asp?id=621\">HITT training<\/a>; <strong>you need to be pushing to your absolute max.<\/strong> Remember chicks you will get out of your workouts what you put in so just give\u2019r! Besides you don\u2019t have time to waste so make every second count.<\/p>\n<h3>2. What are you eating to fuel your body?<\/h3>\n<p>Yes, I said fuel; <strong>you need to be thinking good foods will help to keep that fat burning engine going strong<\/strong>. Fill your engine up with the simple sugars, starches and carbs and you will run on empty quickly, be left feeling hungry, dissatisfied and down from the sugar crash. Unpackaged, unprocessed foods like lean proteins, veggies and healthy fats are the way to go. Remember chicks, you are what you eat so treat yourself well.<\/p>\n<h3>3. Do you have your SMART goals set?<\/h3>\n<p><strong>My personal fitness goal is to be able to do 75 push ups consecutive on my toes within the next 45 days <\/strong>\u2013 ambitious yes \u2013 but I am determined!<\/p>\n<p>Head Chick Laura made a great point today and said to me \u201cgoals without deadlines are just dreams\u201d!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dream big chicks but plan properly and set up your own SMART Goals!<\/strong> Use the Goal Setting Tools your received in your Chick Pack as part of our Bootcamp program and get on your way to reaching every goal \u2013 the sky\u2019s the limit!<\/p>\n<h3>4. What is your plan to keep you moving and motivated outside of Bootcamp class?<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Find a new activity you love outside of Bootcamp<\/strong>, mark it in your calendar, do it at least once a week, make it a date and stick to it. Or <strong>find a fellow chick to help you <\/strong>not only stay accountable to your two workouts outside of class but also a friend you can do the workouts with.
