{"id":3078,"date":"2011-08-31T12:04:10","date_gmt":"2011-08-31T20:04:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.fitchicks.ca\/blog\/?p=3078"},"modified":"2011-08-31T12:04:10","modified_gmt":"2011-08-31T20:04:10","slug":"a-healthy-challenge-for-you","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.fitchicks.ca\/blog\/2011\/08\/a-healthy-challenge-for-you\/","title":{"rendered":"WELLNESS WEDNESDAY &#8211; Are you up for a healthy challenge?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Hey Chicks,<\/p>\n<p>Happy Wednesday &#8211; I can&#8217;t believe we are almost done our August (and summer!) <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fitchicks.ca\">bootcamps<\/a>!\u00a0 Good news is that we still stay outdoors for the month of September and the weather is supposed to be nice \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p>With September being back to school, alot of my chicks are excited to getting themselves and their families into a healthy routine. One thing that I get asked alot  is about how to lose weight.\u00a0 Well chicks, <strong>you can work out until the  cows come home but unless you clean up your diet and nutrition<\/strong>, you will  get stronger but you aren&#8217;t going to see the numbers in weight loss.  That said, it doesn&#8217;t have to be hard!\u00a0 the easiest way to start making  healthy changes is to start to make your own food. Did you know that  <strong>bringing your own lunch can save you 300 cals\/day &#8211; that is 1500\/cals saved per week! <\/strong>When was the last time you made or brought lunch to work?<\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 410px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.foodnetwork.com\/healthyeats\/2011\/08\/11\/calling-all-bloggers-take-our-brown-bag-challenge\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/img.foodnetwork.com\/FOOD\/2011\/08\/09\/HE_brownbag-02_s3x4_lead.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Courtesy of blog.foodnetowrk.com<\/p><\/div>\n<p>So let&#8217;s get old school and start to brown bag (well, actually get a cute enviro friendly, reusable baG)  it again.\u00a0 <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.foodnetwork.com\/healthyeats\/2011\/08\/11\/calling-all-bloggers-take-our-brown-bag-challenge\/\">The Food Network Healthy Eats Blog<\/a> is running an awesome  challenge this month called <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.foodnetwork.com\/healthyeats\/2011\/08\/11\/calling-all-bloggers-take-our-brown-bag-challenge\/\"><strong>the 30 day Brown Bag Challenge<\/strong><\/a> Basically,  you have to bring your lunch to work everyday for 1 month. I love this  idea and think we should all do this together.
