{"id":2976,"date":"2011-07-29T09:45:53","date_gmt":"2011-07-29T17:45:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.fitchicks.ca\/blog\/?p=2976"},"modified":"2011-07-29T09:45:53","modified_gmt":"2011-07-29T17:45:53","slug":"fab-friday-fit-chicks-ottawa-media-blitz","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.fitchicks.ca\/blog\/2011\/07\/fab-friday-fit-chicks-ottawa-media-blitz\/","title":{"rendered":"FAB FRIDAY &#8211; FIT CHICKS Ottawa Media Blitz"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>FIT CHICKS Head Chicks Laura and Amanda Take Over the Capital City!<\/h2>\n<p>Hey Chicks!<\/p>\n<p>So yesterday Head Chick\u00a0Laura and I headed out on what proved to be quite the media bonanza in Ottawa.<\/p>\n<p>First stop our\u00a0radio interview\u00a0for 7:00AM with Dan from CKCU where we chatted everything from how to get fit for summer, which cocktails to avoid at BBQ&#8217;s and\u00a0<strong>our most important advice of the morning &#8211; avoid Deli Meats &#8211; Dont\u00a0Eat the\u00a0Shiny Meats lol.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We were then off to <a href=\"[http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Ne3YUNuo_gw&amp;feature=youtu.be]\">A-Channel in Ottawa\u00a0for\u00a09:15 and 9:30 AM segments where we chatted with Lianne<\/a> about our fabulous <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fitchicks.ca\/blog\/2011\/07\/wellness-wednesdays-oxfam-trailwalker-2011-recap\/\">OXFAM Canada Trek<\/a> and how to stay cool for summer. We also put her through one of our new favorite Sassy Summer Time Saver Workouts.<\/p>\n<p>Ending our\u00a0media adventure\u00a0was\u00a0a fabulous interview at the Ottawa Citizen at noon where our fierce <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fitchicks.ca\/about\/meet-your-chick-sergeants\">Chick Sergeant Kristy<\/a> from our <a href=\"www.fitchicks.ca\/locations\">Orleans Bootcamp<\/a> met us to chat everything from why we started FIT CHICKS to why we focus on HIIT training and Kristy dropped some pointers on how to make your health a priority even when you are a mama chick.
